When you have family and friends who care, it sure makes it easier. Working for FedEx is a blessing too. Everything is OK, stable is a great word. It's been 38 months, what a crazy story which continues mainly due to my wife Robin. Her research is why
i am still around.
Its a blessing to help encourage others, serves a purpose why i got this. Also, in my little part, i was happy righttotry.org passed. This new law will help others like it did me. Hey, if i gave up i cant help anyone... so no giving up for me.

My husband, Bruce Hill, is a 2 & a half year survivor of pancreatic cancer. He has a blog, waginghopewithbruce.com, which one of our sons manages. I hope you will follow it, as we will follow yours. God bless & Never Ever Give Up!

met you on the plane flying southwest 3 yrs ago!... you and lady in window seat were sharing grandchildren pictures, so I happily joined in! think of you and pray for you, still have the napkin with your email address! soooo happy to hear you are doing
well! I pray you continue to recover COMPLETELY and be healed. I'm going to share this with you, as it keeps coming to mind when I see this napkin. I didn't know that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and that by his stripes (beatings) we were healed,
but someone told me that God loved me, and I could have eternal life be repenting of my sins and asking Jesus to come into my life. It was life changing, and the wonderful gifts he gives us are healing, salvation, and eternal life, and peace now, plus a relationship
with Him.... the opportunity to learn about Him and become more like Him right now. I hadn't known about this, so now I share it with others who may not know either.
He said Healing is the children's bread! ... so when we surrender out lives to Him, we become His child, and you know how we love our children! and how delightful it is to give them gifts that they love! so, just saying, in case you have never heard, Jesus
loves you, (and that's why I do too), and why I'm telling you about this because it's true and too good to not share. May you know him also , and may you be completely healed be filled with peace and no more worries or anxiety, no fear of death.
In Christ's love, Sandy

Jim, you have been on a tough and sometimes an amazing journey the last 2 yrs. It is exciting to hear that those 2 tumors have reduced in size by almost 50%. I know it's not super smooth curve going up. But its going up. If anyone can beat this thing you
can. I've seen what you have done with this and with other things in the past so I know you can do it. You have such a supporting family group and a circle of friends that you can't go wrong. Keep on keepin' on.
Steve

Paige, Your dad's trip to Havasupai is accurate, 10 miles up and down, a mile gain of elevation. HOT at the bottom, Cold at the top - yes if he said "it blizzard" I believe him. If he said two years ago, " I am going to beat Pancreatic Cancer" I believe
him. If he says, "Google is a Great Customer" I believe him. All these things are true. But what is most true is you have an amazing father, who raised amazing kids, who are raising their own amazing kids. God has blessed the Burhorns with grace and love.
Rick Maloney
Steve Eller
Jim, good to hear your cancer tumor has reduced in size & now everything has stopped growing! 1 more shot to go and then you're done. Your journey has been an amazing one for sure! Keep on keepin' on!

Jim/Robin, very pleased to read Paige's post. Hope you are feeling better. God bless you
Rib Morgan
Paige honey,
This Rob has been in SD Cali a week now at my Mom's ~ Alexandra is here to with her Dentist husband who pulls teeth for the Navy.. I had to get out of the pressure of the on site rutine selling this big house in KW. So me and this Angle dog split.. we made
it to Tucson ~ long drive from Houston.. we just did not have enough gumption left for another hour north to Phoenix to stay with my buddy Jim Bo..
this is only my second sale of a house.. not 25 like your parents (mercy, Robin is the queen of such) I am such a wosie at it). I went to bed here at 9,, couldn't sleep right. Up at 1 now and had to check in on your Jim page. No wonder I couldn't sleep properly.
Going through your first paragraph singled me that "o no" sign. Better now after I finished >
I re-read your earlier message where Paige went way over board about this Rob.. Honey I am by no means something special or a spiritual giant of any sort. It's likely I've not seen your Dad more than half a dozen times in theses past 31 years.. (Clay Morgan,
the staving artist turned 31 Sunday) I am going to comishion Clay for a Jim Bo / Robin portrait soon ~ just to jack up JB..
I just happen to make a showing at times to back up your Dad when it was convenient.
Mercy Sakes ~ this Man is a miracle of inspiration to many.. He ain't doing all of this because he wants to stay here for Jim.
puts tears on me ~ this man wants to continue with his Love investment ~ oops out of lines here - dang
Heather Beene
Jim, your medical journey story was both inspirational and entertaining. Thank you for sharing it with your FedEx family this past week in Dallas. Da Most is the most!! We stand with you, my friend.

YES! Treatments are working and the radiation is on board. Can't wait to see the red heart you will illuminate on Valentine's Day!
I just finished 30 radiation treatments and I have the most amazing suntan in a place I would have never exposed prior to breast cancer. See...there are some perks along the journey. Keep kicking cancer's butt and stay positive. You have a huge support posse
taking this journey with you. That's POWER! Keep climbing my friend.
Dan Fry
That's awesome news Jim! I have no doubts you will kick this. See you soon

I had the honor of sitting next to Jim on my Southwest flight back to CA. By random chance, following a comment regarding my bald head by the stewardess, Jim brought up his recent fight with being bald as well. Little did I know it would lead to one of
the most impactful conversations I have ever had. I learned of his battle with pancreatic cancer, and I could immediately relate to his journey given my mother's battle with stage 4 breast cancer. We discussed the power of faith, resiliency, family, and living
in the moment. Jim, you left a lasting impression, and I wish you and your family the best! You will make it through this...
Patrice Hovland
I am also climbing this mountain and am still fighting (like a girl) to reach the peak. Six full blown chemo treatments, 1 year of Herceptin infusions, scans, surgery, human pin cushion impersonation, it's all a part of the climb. It can be done and YOU
will accomplish the mission. REACH THE PEAK WITH ME! The side effects can be managed. Plus, you always get an extra scoop of ice cream and preferred parking. Everyone will help you with prayers and emotional support. You've got this! KEEP CLIMBING!
Patrice Hovland
Option #1 it is! You are a climber and the peak of Everest is at your fingertips.

Stay positive and know you have a ton of friends pulling for you.
Gary Smithey
If anyone can fight and win, I know it's you Jim. Nice to see all the great Airborne folks in our past checking up on you.
I have told you many times how much it meant to me to get a chance to work with you at 38! You told me "I'm giving you the position, but please don't quit or leave for at least 2 years or they will skin me alive."
It lasted about 7 and a half and was a great start to what I do today, have my own Medicare agency. "Don't V...t!" Yeah, I still remember that advice. "You sold me now go sell them!" That was a good one. I know from talking to others that worked for you, you
were always more than our boss. You were a very special person. You knew you had to do your work, but it never stopped you from being a great person to know.
I'd love to see you keep on going for as long as possible. Boy, Paige and Robin are really taking care of you. Stay strong and know that a lot of folks love you and pray for you! Stay well!
Lane and Hans
Thanks Paige, for your updates. We will be thinking about and praying for Jim and family on the 5 th. Sounds like Robin has done some good work too. Ox

God bless and we'll talk after you recover from your surgery. If you want to talk prior to that just call any of my nbs. I believe you have them all?

there! We all are praying for you! God Bless. Hope to see you Sunday!

Hi Jim - it was a real pleasure meeting you last night on our flight back to PHX from SJC. I'm so glad we could discuss your cancer, and I am amazed and inspired by your candor and courage. My wife April and I are praying for you. We would love to see
you, your wife and sons & families at Sun Valley church on Easter Sunday (http://www.sunvalleycc.com/tempe/). Services are at 9:30 and 11:00. I'm playing both services and am easy to find: I'm the oldest guy on stage, playing bass. ;-) God bless you and your
family. We truly hope to see you all on Sunday.

Hey Jim & Family,
So great to read of your progress. Your "can do" spirit reminds me of one of my favorite movies. It's called Hooisers and it's a true story of a small Indiana basketball team that through insurmountable odds wins the Indiana State high school basketball championship.
It's a story of unwavering effort, courage and perseverance. Some of the same qualities you possess in your battle against cancer.
We are proud of your fight. Have a wonderful holiday season
Rick and Desiree Maloney
Adam

Jim, I was hoping to see you in Monte Carlo but I understand you have trading the trip for a wonderful Ambassador's Club trip with your wife. Good move.
I just wanted to share with you that you are in our daily thoughts and prayers.
Also, I forgive you for those days you called on EDS and Frito Lay in Plano and tried to steal my FedEx business for your old Airborne team. So glad you made to move to FedEx and have had such a stellar career with our great company.
Keep fighting. You have an army of friends and family with you. Hope to see you in our travels.
Aunt Rosemarie & Uncle Jim
Hey Jim: Praying you are doing better. You are in our prayers always.
Robin Burhorn
Everyday is a different day some great some not so great so we decided it's probably best not to fly 14 hours to Monico and take a risk cause we never know when the pain can't be controlled and we sure don't want to be on a plane going to a foreign country
and have a medical emergency. But, Jim will always be number one to me and our family. Maybe Fed Ex will let us take second place and we will go somewhere in the USA.💙💚💛💜💘
Lane and Hans
So happy to hear the positive reports. Also glad that the scary episode in CA ended well, with the support and love and caring from Many. Sending our love your way!!!
Heather Barlow
Hey Burhorns!!! Great news. Thank you also for the great updates. What an amazingly loving family. I am inspired by your strength and determination.
So my 12 lb dachshund named lieutenant Dan wanted to make an appearance and show some love. She even decided to get fancy with her wig. She wanted to dress up even more but could not find her pearls. Y'all keep up the good fight. Lots of prayers going up. Much
love.
Dwight Altenburg
Jim, I am so glad you had Teresa able to help you in the ER in CA. It was a caring and loving act of kindness that extended to your loved ones back in Phoenix as they were stressed out. Glad to hear they were relieved and praying that your better today
and just knowing they are better too. We were glad to hear of the results of your most recent exam and hopeful for continued successes. Keep safe and best of healing prayer for you.

Jimmy,
It was good to talk to you a few months ago and follow your progress. As we both understand, we won't let the cancer define who we are, in fact if anything, it makes us a much better person. We're growing in areas we would have never ventured and impacting
peoples lives wherever we go. Keep up the good fight and we give God and the praise because He is good.

Great news from Aug 17th Jim! Robin & Paige are doing a super job on keep all of those who care about you posted on the latest info. Knowing you and the what you have done in the past between work and medical issues, this latest news doesn't surprise me

Hammer, I think of you and pray for you every day. I hope that the "Pray For Hammer" wrist bands are a constant reminder to those who wear them, as I do to keep you and your precious family in our thoughts and prayers. For those of you who don't know,
when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2004, Hammer ordered the same purple wrist bands for me ("Pray For David") so it was the least I can do. I have a bag of about 50 here at my house so if anyone wants one send me your address and I'll do my best to
get them mailed to you. Love You Bro!!!! You have and will always hold a special place in my heart for all your mentorship and guidance. Many more years to come. Cant wait to see you again soon.
Robin
It was good to hear Jom had good blood work and liver is almost normal. We hope that September brings the best new that the main tumor has shrunk as he will have a CT scan that day to see if this medicine is doing its job! We keep positive as we follow
this path, and can't wait to be with our son's and their wives and grandchildren and close to his doctor in September.
Rachel Bennett
Awesome news! Congrats on good reports, Jim! I expect to hear more.

Hi Jim, As usual you appear to be kicking ass and taking names as always, I love it! Congrats on winning PC again, how awesome is that.....! I told you once you got a taste of the amazing trips you would be on a mission to repeat every year. Nice work
my man.
Well it sounds like you haven't let up much with your schedule. Remember the work will be there tomorrow. I see you lost 25 lbs back to your high school playing weight, OK that's cool and I'm sure you look even better now, you stud! Having said that lets try
and stay at playing wt. I got down to 136 and that was a little to light.
I hope Adam gave a big hug from me at the sales meeting and if he didn't I want to know.
My friend, be well and continue to put the Hammer down on all fronts as I know you will.
You are in my prayers and thoughts daily.
God Bless you and your family.

Hi Jim, I have been following your story for some time now. 4.5 years ago I was diagnosed with a 7cm pancreatic tumor. I had 0% chance of survival. Just want to say I am pulling for you and let you know that survival happens. You have a beautiful family,
full of love and I just know they are such a comfort and source if strength to you. All the best to you Jim xoxoxo
Steve Eller
I see that Jim was awarded the #1 Salesman in the company. That accomplishment is pretty much what Jim expects to do and what I've seen him do over and over again at Airborne. He was a 'freight magnet' at Airborne and when he was on my Sales Team in Denver.
He was amazing. His attitude was always positive and his personality was always friendly and warm. I would never bet against Jim on anything! That includes his current fight.
God watches over you!

Hello All,
Thank you for all your loving words!!! Jim is a wonderful person, husband , father, friend and colleague. He has always been there for me and his family.
Because of the nature of this Cancer we have decided it is best to be close to his doctor and the cancer center. We found a great home in Scottsdale and have our townhouse under contract. Being close to our two son's Brad and Scott and their families will be
good medicine for us both. We move September 9th. The latest update is he does have some mouth sores from the medicine and he has lost 25 pounds but overall is taking one day at a time and I believe it is because of the support from all of you. Thank you for
sharing stories of how great this man is. Love, Robin
Rocket Ron Steinthal
Hi Jim, just wanted to drop you a note to say I am thinking of you on a daily basis and praying for your full and complete remission.
We have been through a lot of crap together over the years at FedEx and you always overcame the hurdles, however nothing quite like the challenge you are facing. It is so wonderful to see all the love and support you have from your beautiful family, friends,
business associates, and the people you have touched. No surprise Hammer you are a special person and you will not be alone on this journey, for the lord has blessed you with the same things you have given to other your entire life.
Jim you are one of the strongest, gentlest individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and you have a powerful mind, which along with your support network will be huge assets in conquering the twists and turns you will face in the coming months.
God Bless you.
PS, It's Hammer Time!
Jill Sandul
Hi Jim, this is Jill Sandul. Robin let me know yesterday of your battle with a cancerous liver tumor. You have always been so kind to me and my family, and I want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. It sounds like you have connected with a
great doctor and health care center, and I know you have strong family support. We know you will beat this and be back on your bike soon! Sending lots of positive energy your way!
John Swope
Hi Jim - Steve Eller has shared your news with me and I want you to know that I am thinking of you from this side of the pond and sending over some positive energy to support your battle to beat this! There are rough roads ahead of course but as I recall
you are made of solid stuff and will keep fighting! Know that I'll be checking in from time to time and supporting you during the journey ahead -
Steve Eller
Jim, So glad to hear your 4th stent should take care of things so you don't have to go thru what you did in DEN. I loved the pic of you & Frank Steel! That really brought a smile to my face. I always liked Frank as well. He always treated me well!

together, with all of this behind us.
Amanda
Dad #2, you are a hero! You are an ordinary individual that has found the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles!
I want to apologize for not reaching out to you sooner, but I assure you that I have been following all of the posts on your condition since it was announced in hopes of miraculous news. I'm sure many people have expressed their care and concern and offered
to help you out in any way they can... But I'd really like the opportunity to make you and mom #2 a special, healthy and nutritious, homemade dinner that you can just enjoy in the comfort of your own home without having to do anything for it (no grocery shopping,
no prep, no clean up, nothing). Perhaps when you get back from Washington? I will gladly cater to your palate and any dietary restrictions you may have :)
What Cancer Cannot Do:
It cannot cripple love. It cannot shatter hope. It cannot corrode faith. It cannot eat away peace. It cannot destroy confidence. It cannot kill friendship. It cannot shut out memories. It cannot conquer the spirit. It cannot silence courage. It cannot steal
eternal life.
Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fear you have overcome.
Brian Reilly
Gary Smithey
Just recently reconnected with you and Robin. I got a chance one more time to thank you for my first real job, after being a country club tennis professional for 14 years!. Your kindness (and great evaluation skills) took a 38 year old guy who was foundering
and restarted my life.
How to thank you for that? Can't be done. Pass it on to others if I can. Yes, pay it forward. Great to talk to you also Robin. You two were great young parents and genuinely kind people. I pray he will get all the time possible to continue to bless your family
and us. Nice to have had such a great conversation two months back. Much love and prayer for you both.
Robin B.
Hello All, Jim receives his medicine today via Fed Ex of course! Afinitor 10 mg, a pill that will hopefully shrink his tumors. Some side effects are mouth sores and something similar to pnumonia (possible is 20percent of patients. He will remain on this
medicine for 3 months along with a monthly shot LAR that stops the production of hormones that the tumors secrete which are not good. We remain very hopeful that this medicine will work. A CT scan will be done in 3 months to see what this form of treatment
has done. If it does not work we will go to a more aggressive treatment. If it does work it will work for a period of time and then stop and the treatment will change accordingly. I feel confident that the right treatment will be found and maybe even a cure
in the near future with how fast medicine is advancing. 😘😘💕❤️❤️😇😇
Steve Eller
Jim, Robin is doing a great job keep everyone posted on your progress. There seems to be a lot to be thankful for up to this point. It can always be worse! I assume you're keeping busy with work etc.? Your Seattle trip sounds great. Do you still have that
Remington 870 Pump shotgun that we bought back in the day to go pheasant hunting? If so, we need to do some skeet shooting & think about some pheasant hunting this winter? I just took mine to the gunsmith to get thoroughly cleaned & inspected. It's like a
brand new one.
John & Lori Davis
Hey Jimmy, this is your cousin John Davis Jr. checking in to say "Howdy" from Oklahoma. I can't say I know what your going through because every cancer situation is different. I was diagnosed with Stage III Melanoma and spent the last year making countless
trips to MD Anderson in Houston for CAT Scans, PET Scans, surgery, radiation treatments, doctor consultations and everything else they could throw at me (and bill). Doctors told me cancer has a mind of its own and I could be dead in a year or live to be 100,
but one thing I know for sure, GOD makes the final decision. "He" has blessed me with a great life and family and if "He" decides to take me home tomorrow...I'm ok with that. Let me know if you want a rematch on the famous "Red Rock Sprint," I'll need a few
days to find my knee braces and Geritol..Ha!Ha!
We are praying for you and your family every day!
Gia Burnett
Hi Jim, you are in my thoughts and prayers daily. We love you and are here to support you, Robin and your family.
Amy Bonnette
Thinking of you every day Jim. It is so nice to see all your family photos. You have an amazing family and great support system. Sending positive energy and huge hugs from Sydney. My thoughts will be with you every day and will keep checking the site to

Jane Stewart jstew0102@yahoo.com
My caring and positive thoughts have been with you, Jim, and Robin and all of your family since Sharon told me about the cancer diagnosis when we were taking a hike. Now that I've read all the e-mails and updates, I feel sure that your fighting spirit,
your openness, and all the people who love you and are offfering support and sending prayers are going to help you beat the odds! Eat well, sleep well, love well, and play as much as you can!
Andrew "The Cat" Burnett
Thinking about you everyday. Sending great thoughts for your body's ability to defeat cancer and the skill of your medical team. It's Hamma Time!
Robin B.
I have to start by saying the Cancer Center is the best choice of care if they take your insurance. Jim, Paige, Scott and Nicole met with Dr. Niu today at 3:30. He said all the tests he ran came back positive, which means this is a Fucntioning tumor that
has spread to the Liver. There are 10 small spots on the Liver. Because of this, surgery is not an option. He will start him on LAR which is an injection once a month to try to stop the tumor but not shrink it. He will also use a medicine called Afinitor which
is a pill he takes everyday for 30 days to see if it will shrink the tumors. We will return in 30 days to check blood and check in and in 3 month they will do another CAT scan to check tumor growth. The main thing is keep your life as normal as possible, keep
a great attitude and don't listen to all the stories of others because you are you and what happens to you is not like anyone else. So, keep working, riding your bike and I'm going to get him to do Yin yoga which I think will help him. Take 5000 mg of vitamin
D, vitamin B complex and No alcohol. We will all travel to Seattle July 7-14 as a family and go to Orcas Island to go crabbing, fishing, hiking and enjoy our lives together. I think we are also going to have a family portrait done while we are all there. 😍😍💕💕❤️❤️😘😘😍😍
Sherrie and Verne DeHaven and Don Davis
Jim and Robin, Praying for you guys every day in Omaha!! Thanks for the updates Robin. Stay Strong!!
Robin B.
Thank you all for keeping up with Jim's page it is very encouraging to have all of your support. Paige fly's in today and she and Jim will meet with his doctor tomorrow afternoon to discuss tests that were preformed the last few days. I am expecting that
Dr. Niu now knows much more than he did at the beginning about Jim 's condition and how the tumor grows and also if it is producing hormones into his system ( a functioning Tumor) he has been meeting a lot of other Cancer patients who are very happy with their
care. Many have been fighting their cancers for yrs. two who have been battleing breast Cancer. I hope that he can meet someone with his type of condition so that he can relate and be encouraged as we still cannot believe that this is happening. I will keep
you posted tomorrow as he gets his treatment plan and what the doctor says. ❤️❤️💕💕😇😇😍😍 Thank you Davis family Jim loves his family!!!!
Tom Davis
Hi Jimmy Ray,
This is your cousin Tom Davis from Glenwood Iowa. I heard about your carcinoid tumor. Be strong and never give up. You are in my prayers. Just to tell you a little story when we were kids and you and your family visited us in Omaha. One day I was going to walk
to the store to get some candy (I was a little fat kid) and you wanted to go with me. So we took off and you wanted to take the short cut down the alley next to the cemetery, but I said no because of kids that bully me when I took that way. I wanted to take
the long way. You refuse and we went down the alley. Sure enough the kid was there and you confronted him and just reasoned with him and everything was cool. On are walk back from the store you told me you should never run from your problems but to confront
them. Most likely it is just a misunderstanding. That stuck with me and I use that to this day in my work and personal life. Be strong Jimmy Ray and I wish you and your family the best. Here is a picture of me today. I will send one of me when I was a kid
around that age when we took that walk and picture of my family.

Hi Jim - I just learned about this website today. I love it - so great to see such love and support. You deserve every bit of it!! I have thought about you so much since your original message about your "Tummy ache"....and then your follow up email about
your diagnosis.
I wish you happy thoughts - every day!
I wish you love and hugs always!
I wish you very positive results with the treatment plan you (and all involved) have planned.
And, I wish you to come back to work. :-)
OK....the last one is a very selfish "wish" but I wish for you to come back to work because I/WE MISS YOU!! :-) This - ONLY if/when you are able to come back, of course!!

Dear Jim, praying deeply for healing and comfort for you and your family. Calling on St Nektarios, patron saint for cancer patients, to be with you. His monastery in Greece is a place of healing; my family has visited. Sending positive thoughts to add
to yours, and multiply this power of healing being sent by all.

Jim - keep your good humor no matter what. It's the best medicine. You have always brought joy to others with it, I hope now it helps keep you company

So good to hear how strong you sound. You're fortunate to be working with the CTCA/PHX -- they are the best there is. You are in our thoughts every day - thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Jim Burhorn
You don’t know how much I appreciate all your love and support.
What a roller coaster ride. We are still in shock with the diagnostic of a 5.9 cm carcinoid tumor of the pancreas which has spread to the liver. The Good news:
• I’m still here. If this was carcinoma the story would be different. I am lucky to have a slower growing tumor than carcinoma. Less than 5% of all pancreas tumors are NET (what I have). We are trying to figure out how fast this grows but won’t know for months.
I have no baseline.
• Working for FedEx gave me the ability to choose hospitals. We decided with Cancer Treatment Center of America/ PHX. CU Med was considered but CTCA is equally talented & much smaller with multiple support groups.
Treatment plan:
With NET, it is only treatable, not curable. We have multiple choices on how aggressive I want to be. With it being stage 4, surgery is out. We are reading up with the choices with success to slow or reverse the growth. We think we will do Afinitor and Sinutib.
If this doesn’t work we will need to get more aggressive.
I do more outpatient tests in PHX next week. I am feeling good, ready for battle!

Jim and Robin,
My prayers for you and warm thoughts of your kindness and respect occupy me daily. Hoping you find an optimal treatment plan, either in AZ or CO. If I can help in anyway (SW points?) please let me know. God Bless You !!
Robin B.
It is amazing that we have all of you supporting us through this tough time. I am so lucky to have met this strong man I've been married to for 32 yrs. that so many love, and to have his 3 beautiful children and spouses and 3 grandchildren (so far). We
appreciate your love and support and fond memories, faces and names we haven't seen but know are there. We have met with the AZ. Team and really are impressed with their methods of treatment, however, we want to see what CU doctors say tomorrow. We will keep
you all informed of the path we decide to take soon.😘😍❤️ Thank you family and friends and team Fed Ex

To all our dear friends and friends at Fed Ex and our loving family we are sad to say the diagnosis is Stage 4 because it has spread to the liver, although, the growths on the liver are in the beginning stages of cancer and not advanced. Now we will go
meet the team of Oncologists and other doctors to listen to the plan. We will also see what CU hospital top doctors also say.
We are hoping for surgery (Whipple) (laparoscopic) vs. a total Whipple but they are not sure if he is a candidate for that yet. I'm sure they have to check with a PET scan to check lymph nodes. Thank you for your prayers! I don't know if we are in shock but
We feel at peace with this and have turned this over to the hands of the Lord and the Doctors. I will keep everyone posted on this email as we have not figured out why the Blog isn't working!
Calls and visiting would be great now as the next few months we may not be around.

Ár n-Athair atá ar neamh,
Go naofar d'ainim,
Go dtagfadh do ríocht,

Ach ná lig sinn i gcathú,

For now, just waiting until we take another trip to Mountain View to close some deals - sending support along the way!

Hi Jim. I became aware of your situation rather by accident through your son on FB. I live in Brookings Oregon and am a 4+ year survivor of pancreatic cancer. I know how hard this is. If I could give one piece of advise to you it would be this...absolutely
and totally ignore any and all information regarding "statistics". Put it out of your thought process entirely. You are not them. I told myself "if even one can survive, I can survive" . You can be that one. I hope all the best for you and your beautiful family.
Carmen Chan
Dear Jim, keep fighting! I look forward to your strong come back!!!!
You and your family are in my prayers

Hey my friend, Suzie and I are with you in this challenge and sending our love. Here is a small quote author unknown: " The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts, The safest place to be is in someone's prayers, and the very best place to be is....
In the hands of God. " We know your being watched over as much as his eye is on the sparrow.
